As an IT Delivery Manager, you will lead the team responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of SAP HR solutions. You will be responsible for oversight of the technology from inception to implementation and coordinating with other technology teams such as SAP Basis, SAP Security, and architecture. This also includes collaborating with key stakeholders within the business areas and Publix Technology leadership to help set system direction and priorities.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of ABAP developers, functional analysts, and quality assurance associates to deliver and maintain our HR associate master data and benefits processes.
- Plan projects for team including resource allocation and milestones to meet business area and delivery team needs.
- Able to be agile and shift work priorities upon the demands of business and direction from senior leadership.
- Provide oversight of the application support processes to ensure timely defect resolution and appropriate escalation to technology and business area management of system issues.
- Work closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs and involve them in planning and problem solving.
- Responsible for our organization structure including jobs, pay ranges, organization hierarchies, open positions, etc.
- Manage SAP hiring, transfers, separations, discharges, and other associate master data processes.
- Maintain our eligibility and enrollment processes for medical, insurance, and savings plans.
- Ensure compliance standards are met for specialized processes such as Arrears, COBRA, Vendor Billing, and the interfacing of this data to third party vendors.
- Responsible for the Manager Self Service (MSS) and Time Administer Self Service (TPass) solutions including performance evaluations, counseling statements, transitional duty, and others (i.e., Registration of Interest (ROI), Request for Transfer (RFT))
- Collaborate with SAP security to ensure all HR data is properly secured and protected.
- Provide proper coordination between technology teams and vendors.
- Make sure proper documentation is in place for processes and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or a related analytical field or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of IT experience, including development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated solutions.
- 5+ years of leadership experience in which one or more of the following occurred:
- Demonstrated leadership in IT project management.
- Experience in organizing, planning, and executing large-scale projects from vision through implementation, involving internal personnel, contractors, and vendors.
- Ability to analyze project needs and determine resources needed to meet objectives.
- Successfully developed and implemented or supported applications in new computing architecture environments, using new and emerging technologies
- Proven ability as a subject matter expert in the SAP system with an extensive background of HR, data, and business processes
- Demonstrated ability to manage multidiscipline, high-performance work teams.
- Developed efficient and effective solutions to diverse and complex business problems.
- Experience with human resource management, including knowledge of team dynamics, team building concepts, and human resource policies.
- Basic knowledge of financial management and budgeting
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of IT experience, including development, maintenance, or support of large-scale integrated solutions.
- Experience supporting large scale applications within a 24/7 environment.
- Experience in Agile System Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, Pipelines, etc.

Year End Bonus
As a year-end bonus to associates, Publix issues one month’s extra pay (pro-rated in the first year) each year if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check that year. This is calculated as a 13th month of pay in the Potential Annual Pay with Bonus line above.
